Dwaipayan Singha - The New Gen Music Maker & Composer from South Indian Film Industry
Dwaipayan Singha one of very few current popular names in Kannada Film Industry, popularly known for his new generation film music for his previous films such as Consilium and many re-recorded kannada films such as Dasavatharam, Aagadu, Kanche. Not only in Kannada but he has also successfully worked for Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam Industry.
To talk about his recent film Campus Kranti, Dwaipayan did the final DTS Mix for the film which was originally background score and sound designed by Mandeep Kumar and further assisted by Souvik Guha. Mandeep Kumar is popular for his Assamese Film Composition, apart from films Mandeep has composed endless original singles for many popular Indian Artists around India. Mandeep is a versatile musician and composer currently based out of Bangalore. He owns a production house and a studio in Bangalore named Harmonic Nation Studio. Coming back to the recent release Campus Kranti, is an action drama film which was released this year on February 24, and successfully screened in multiple theatres. Mandeep & Dwaipayan have been working together for quite a long time and promised with upcoming few more films together which are under post production and re-recording is ongoing.
With the recent updates Dwaipayan has come up with two new originals produced and programmed by Souvik Guha and also streaming all major platforms naming them ‘Nanna Karnataka’ and ‘Tayandiru Pritisuttare’ sung beautifully by Abhishek M R a versatile singer based from Bangalore. According to the recent updates, Dwaipayan’s upcoming movies are ‘Murga Son of Kanoon’ and ‘Operation D’ which he has collaborated with Mandeep and team for the sound re-recording work. He is also planning with a couple more originals in multiple languages, collaborating with a few popular names in Industry.
With the latest updates Dwaipayan has already completed 49 films in different languages, out of which 23 has already been released and rest are awaited to. With the launching of Bangalore’s very first 5.1 Music Production suite, he is now planning to introduce the Spacial Audio Audio Mixing Solution in Kannada Films which is in itself first in its type in the Industry. Dwaipayan added to the conversation that technology and art together has no alternative, and the next generation of music is technology along with the art of the composer and artists around. Being a tech freak and being into the technical part of the sound, I prefer adding the best of all technology to the future of all Kannada Sound. Continuing his venture Back Road Studios, will continue providing the same old post production services, and planning with his new startup studio it would be completely separate from the rest.
